February 2012: New Album:
A Handful of Changes is now released!
CD Release parties scheduled for 20/3 (Shablul Tel-Aviv, 21:30) and 23/3 (Levontin 7, Tel-Aviv, 16:00).

February 2012: Nocturno Quartet at Rosh Hanikra (29/2).

October 2011: Europe tour: Zurich, Switzerland, in Oct. 12, 13 and 14, Hamburg, Germany on Oct. 17, and in Copenhagen on Oct. 21th. More details in my "Schedule" page.

Aug-Sep 2011: Completed the studio recording of my upcoming album project with a great team of fantastic musicians: Joel Frahm on Tenor and Soprano saxophone, Gilad Dobrecky (percussion), Eitan Izcovich (drums), and the bass part is split between Arie Volinez and Tal Ronen. Ofer Shapiro, on Clarinet and Alto saxophone, joins in two tunes. Album release dated planned for early 2012.

January 14: AVP Trio in "Beit Jamal" Monestary, with Philippe Gottlieb (drums) and Vinnie Venkov (Bass), and with guest saxophoist Eden Bareket.

January 26: Received an invitation to perform the "Jazz from the Heart", my Bill Evans tribute program, in Beit Shapira Jazz Series, organized by Ofer Portugaly, in Petach Tiquva. Guest vocalist will be Julia Feldman.

Featuring Joel Frahm on saxophones, "A Handful of Changes", Erev's latest album, combines Latin-flavored jazz compositions with modern straight ahead Jazz, creating a colorful set, full of variety and inspired playing. (more on "a Handful of Changes"...)

His album, "About Time" (2008) features a piano Jazz trio playing a lyrical and emotional mix of Jazz standards, original compositions and Jazz arrangement of Israeli songs. All are performed with sensitive interplay that draws from the legacy of the great mainstream jazz trios. (more on "About Time"...)

Involved in a number of projects, among them:

"Jazz Me-Halev" (Jazz from the heart), a special production created and performed by Ari's trio, featuring the music of the legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans, (read more...) and...
"Nocturno Quartet", a program inspired by the great composers of central and south America, integrating the romantic elements of Cuban and Mexican Bolero’s, and the Latin tempo’s of south America with modern Jazz interpretation and open improvisation.
